Living Is For Everyone (LIFE) is a world-class suicide and self-harm prevention resource. Dedicated to providing the best available evidence and resources to guide activities aimed at reducing the rate at which people take their lives in Australia, this site is designed for people across the community who are involved in suicide and self-harm prevention activities.

The Australian Government has tasked the National Mental Health Commission (NMHC) to assess the effectiveness of mental health and suicide prevention programmes. Terms of reference are available online

Featured Projects

The national ATAPS Suicide Support Service is a specialised service designed to support allied health professionals working with people at risk of suicide and self-harm, providing their clients with access to dedicated professional telephone counselling.

Support After Suicide has grown to become a national provider of services to people bereaved by suicide and also to health, education and welfare professionals.
